'To the Beehive' captures my experience of ascending the rugged trails above Lake Louise. The painting serves as a visual diary of that journey, evoking the crisp alpine morning air (it was very early!) and the quiet, rhythmic crunch of our boots on the earth. 
On our way up, looking through a canopy of firs, glimpsing the water below—that unmistakable, vibrant turquoise that seems almost ethereal from a distance.
